Welcome

Greetings and welcome to Legacy Design.

We hope you’ll enjoy the time you spend looking through what we believe to be creative and thought provoking information and perspective. Please take your time, and as you find yourself engaged, let us know what you are thinking and how you view these constructs and concepts. By sharing in each others’ wealth of perspective, we will as a united community find a better way to address the issues that continue to confront our global consciousness and perhaps, if we try hard enough, we will translate that into action in order to quite literally design a lasting legacy.

Legacy’s foremost project at this time is the National Youth Academy (The Pine Academy). We are currently seeking partners and funding in order to establish what will come to be regarded as the most authentic means by which to incorporate global youth and consciousness into an education enterprise that serves to strengthen both the youth and their commitment to global awareness and sustainability. Through this construct, we intend to provide the model that will become the impetus for a National Youth Agenda and that will encourage ‘The System’ to rethink its infrastructure and methodology.

Please  read through the side-bar and then the Pine Academy page to learn how we as a groundswell network can indeed be the deciding factor in the lives of the hundreds of thousands of youth that are even today missing out on their potential. If there is any one thing we can do as a society, it is to grant EVERYONE the opportunity to realize their potential. Waiting for Superman is not the answer – each of us individually owning the responsibility for taking action is the only answer, and you are as responsible as each of the rest of us for everything that happens in this society. Let’s come together to forge the future, and let’s do it NOW.

Please join us as we live our legacy! I look forward to hearing from you.

Steve

Our Vision

Multi-generational engagement designed to enhance youth opportunity is catalyzed throughout our partner communities.

There is nothing more profound than a child’s mind; nothing more exciting than engaging it…

Our Mission

Design and deploy an engagement infrastructure through which each of our partners is able to implement catalytic change.

Vision without action is a daydream; action without vision is a nightmare…

Our Values

Collaboration, Authenticity, Relevance, Courage, Wisdom, Respect

We treat people the way we do not because of who They are, but who We are…

The Evolution of Our Purpose

  • Decades of observation of, personal involvement in, and commitment to innovative community engagement activities centered on authentic youth opportunity.
  • Designing constructs that adequately address relevance, authenticity, personal and project integrity, adequate infrastructure, communication, political will, systemic sustainability, innovation and creative community collaboration.

Our Objective

Live our legacy as we design and enact means by which to incorporate each of the above elements in the process by which to incite catalytic change locally, nationally, and globally.

    Steve,
Interesting is this a business or a non-profit 501C3? I am interested in hearing more yet much time is spent on the past and future without living in the present. the words here on your site “Designing constructs that adequately address relevance, authenticity, personal and project integrity, adequate infrastructure, communication, political will, systemic sustainability, innovation and creative community collaboration.” is wonderful YET the application, acceptance, implementation is the object of much work and play. As having written mission statement, objectives and vision statements along with working for those who have them that do not walk the talk of their words; talk is cheap. I came through connection of this site of a wonderful contact just recently made and value her and feel the sincerity. There is much healing and dumping of dogma and garbage/baggage on this Earth for healthy living and prosperity.

Dave, I very much appreciate your thoughts and comments. To answer the first question; this is both a business and a non-profit, a business so that I can help the students learn to not only survive, but to thrive in the context of this country’s current socially acceptable environment, and a non-profit for the obvious reasons of acquiring funding from the variety of sources that will give to a 501C3; it is a part of ‘The Endeavor Group’ that I started a few years ago. To address the more significant issues you raise, which are the very reason that this construct has come into existence, the authenticity and sustainability that relates to the ‘walk-the-talk’ issues. I spent a career in the education field, most of which was in the trenches of ‘Alternative Education,’ meaning that I experienced a number of opportunities to help kids learn to walk their talk. I spent the latter portion of my career in administration, working out innovative means by which to make things happen for students and their greater educational community, which gets broader by the day as we see the expansion of global awareness and connectivity. The greatest crime that we are currently committing is that we are allowing what you have so aptly pointed out; Talk is cheap! I am amazed at the responses I get when I speak with corporates, with the public, with individuals, relative to the dichotomy of what they complain about and what they are willing to support. This is a huge conversation, and I would love to spend time having it; I hope that we will have the opportunity to go down this road together and honor the sincerity that you feel. Nice meeting you.
